Susan, a Canadian and US CPA, has 40 years of finance experience, including 25 years in early-stage clean tech. She has expertise in finance, venture deal structures, taxation, accounting, and diverse economic environments. Susan has held senior roles such as CFO and COO at Carbon Engineering (sold to Occidental), CFO at General Fusion, CFO at Vaperma, and VP Finance and CFO at Cellex Power (sold to Plug Power). She played a key role in raising $330M in venture funds and $150M in government grants. Susan’s practical experience includes senior management, M&A, turnarounds, fundraising, team building, and corporate processes. Post-retirement from Carbon Engineering, she joined Rethink Climate as CFO and the board of BC Center for Innovation and Clean Energy.
